Lunar eclipse. Just taught this shit to my children. Caused by a full moon when the earth passes directly between the moon and the sun. It has to be perfectly aligned ( all three objects in space) and once they align earth cast a shadow front he sunlight into the moon causes it to turn orange/red.

Spade is super interesting.
